5 Keys For Women to Succeed as Leaders

Can women truly achieve work/life balance? If that question brings you feelings of guilt, shame off you! According to LEXI keynote speaker Rebecca Pomering, day-to-day work/life balance is a myth. Instead, we should strive for work/life “WOBBLE.”

This is only one of the many jewels of wisdom Rebecca Pomering, CEO of Moss Adams Wealth Advisors, shared at LEXI 2013 in Seattle.

5 Additional Challenges:

  1. Define your legacy

  2. Find meaning in your work

  3. Seek mentors

  4. Advocate for yourself

  5. Help other women (and men)

Years before the hype around the Lean-In book by Sheryl Sandberg, it has been the mission of LEXI to connect, equip and mentor women in both their professional and personal lives. One of our objectives this year was to connect women with leaders in the community who are rising to the top of their organizations and making a difference. Rebecca was a perfect fit.

Rebecca Pomering spent eleven years as a management consultant with Moss Adams LLP and consulting to many of the most well-known wealth management firms in the country on business strategy and management. She is regarded as one of the leading experts on the business of wealth management and is a prominent speaker and writer. Ms. Pomering is a Founding Member of Boys & Girls Clubs’ InfluenceHer program, and was named to Puget Sound Business Journal’s 2010 40 under 40, as well as Wealth Manager’s 2009-2010 50 Top Women in Wealth.

She is a Founding Advisory Board Member of Moss Adams’ Forum_W program – a program that isn’t about lowering the bar for women, but about preparing more women to meet and pass that bar. Forum_W equips individual women to be more successful

in their careers by helping them to reengage and advance.

LEXI is coming to Las Vegas September 28, 2013! Stay connected…
